Theme settings

Open Online Store → Themes → Customize, then click the Theme settings (paint-roller) icon in the left sidebar. Changes apply to every page.

Colors

Section titled “Colors”

Color schemes — Halcyon ships with five schemes. Every section has a Color scheme setting, so you can paint any section with any scheme. Each scheme defines:

  • Background
  • Background gradient — Replaces the background color when set.
  • Text
  • Accent — Used for links, icons, and highlighted details.
  • Primary button background
  • Primary button label
  • Secondary button background
  • Secondary button label and outline
  • Shadow

Feedback colors

  • Success
  • Warning
  • Error

Typography

Section titled “Typography”

Headings

Section titled “Headings”
  • Font — choose any font from Shopify’s font library.
  • Heading size scale — options: Small, Medium, Large, Extra large.
  • Letter spacing — -5–10 % (default -1).
  • Capitalization — options: Default, Uppercase.

Body text

Section titled “Body text”
  • Font — choose any font from Shopify’s font library.
  • Base size — 14–19 px (default 16).

Subheadings

Section titled “Subheadings”
  • Style — options: Uppercase with letter spacing, Italic heading font, Plain.

Layout

Section titled “Layout”
  • Page width — 1200–1800 px (default 1440).
  • Space at page edges — options: Small, Medium, Large.
  • Default space between sections — options: Extra small, Small, Medium, Large, Extra large. Each section can override this with its own padding settings.
  • Space between grid items — options: Small, Medium, Large.

Appearance

Corner radius

Section titled “Corner radius”
  • Buttons — 0–40 px (default 0).
  • Inputs and form fields — 0–20 px (default 0).
  • Images and media — 0–40 px (default 0). Applies to images inside sections, not to full width banners.
  • Cards and drawers — 0–40 px (default 0).

Block shadow

Section titled “Block shadow”
  • Opacity — 0–40 % (default 0).
  • Horizontal offset — -20–20 px (default 0).
  • Vertical offset — -20–20 px (default 8).
  • Blur — 0–60 px (default 24).

Buttons

Section titled “Buttons”
  • Hover effect — options: Darken, Lift, Invert colors, None.
  • Label style — options: Default, Uppercase.

Animation

Section titled “Animation”
  • Reveal sections on scroll — on/off. Content fades and rises into view as customers scroll.
  • Image hover effect — options: None, Zoom, Fade.
  • Reduce motion — on/off. Turns off transitions and animations across the theme. Customers with a reduce motion system setting always get this behavior.

Product cards

Section titled “Product cards”
  • Card style — options: Standard, Card with background.
  • Image ratio — options: Adapt to image, Portrait, Square, Landscape.
  • Text alignment — options: Left, Center.
  • Show second image on hover — on/off.
  • Show vendor — on/off.
  • Show product rating — on/off. Requires a product review app that saves ratings to the reviews.rating metafield.
  • Quick add — options: None, Button below product, Button over image on hover.
  • Color variants — options: Hide, Show swatches, Show number of colors. Swatches use the colors and images set on the product options in your admin.

Badges

Section titled “Badges”
  • Show sale badge — on/off.
  • Sale badge content — options: “Sale” label, Percentage saved, Amount saved.
  • Show sold out badge — on/off.
  • Sale badge background
  • Sale badge text
  • Sold out badge background
  • Sold out badge text
  • Custom badge background Add a custom badge to a product with a tag such as badge:New.
  • Custom badge text
  • Rating stars

Swatches

Section titled “Swatches”

Swatch colors and images come from the product option values in your admin. Learn more about swatches.

  • Shape — options: Circle, Square.
  • Size on product pages — 20–48 px (default 28).

Cart

Section titled “Cart”
  • Cart type — options: Drawer, Page, Notification.
  • Cart icon — options: Bag, Cart, Basket.
  • Show vendor on cart items — on/off.

Free shipping bar

Section titled “Free shipping bar”
  • Show free shipping progress bar — on/off.
  • Free shipping threshold Enter an amount in your store currency, or one per currency such as USD:100,EUR:90,GBP:80.

Currency format

Section titled “Currency format”
  • Show currency codes — on/off. Example: $1.00 USD.
Section titled “Search”
  • Enable search suggestions — on/off.
  • Show vendor in suggestions — on/off.
  • Show price in suggestions — on/off.
  • Show pages and blog posts in suggestions — on/off. Collections, pages, and blog posts appear beside product suggestions.

Social media

Section titled “Social media”

Social media icons appear in the footer and other sections when a link is added.

Favicon

  • Favicon image — upload an image. Will be scaled down to 32 x 32px.
